about

Alejandro Franov is the leading figure of the Argentina’s experimental music scene, and known as a multi-instrumentalist. He has previously released many solo albums which each has it’s own concept, and this time, he has chosen the African instrument Mbiras as the main instrument, and “Baobabs” is also dedicated to the baobab and all the trees which he believes are the ancestors of earth. The album has a pleasant atmospheric feeling and meditative as if it would evoke our ancient memories. it also features a traditional mbria music from the Shona people in Zimbabwe. The drawings on the artwork is
illustrated by Alejandro Franov, and the album mastered by Chihei Hatakeyama.
