本作は英国グラスゴーを拠点に活動するジョー・マンゴーによる2ndアルバム。 盟友ヴァシュティ・ヴァニアンに「ユニークな才能」と言われる、誰をも魅了する彼女のクリスタル・ヴォイスの他に、マルチインストゥルメンタリストの彼女は、本作ではトレードマークであるギター、カリンバ、オムニコード、スクイーズボックスの上にミュージック・ソー、ハーモニウム、グロッケン、ピアノをふんだんに使い3年がかりで仕上げた。プロデューサーは、Adem Llhan (Adem, Silver Colums) で、もともとは4曲EPを共同制作するつもりが、あまりの溢れ出るアイデアにそれだけでは収まらず、今回のアルバムに発展したとのこと。
This is the Japanese version of Scotland's great singer and songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jo Mango's 2nd album which includes 3 bonus tracks (including a Stina Nordenstam cover exclusive for this edition). "Murmuration" draws upon Jo's adventure whilst traveling the world as a member of Vashti Bunyan's band and her experiences over the last few years completing a Doctorate in Musicology plus her collaborations with David Byrne, Devendra Banhart, Teenage Fanclub amongst others.
