This is originally a book plus CD album featuring 3 Iranian artists – illustration by Moteza Zahedi, poems by Vahid Sharifian, music by Morteza Mahujubi.
遠い国イラン。西アジアという同じアジア圏に位置しながらも、私たち はどれだけ「イラン」という国を知っているでしょうか?1979年にイス ラム革命が成立すると、西洋文化が規制されるようになり、時代によ り緩和されつつも近年は再び「イスラム的ではない」文化への規制は厳 しくなっています。そういった社会的、政治的情勢によって私たちの手 元に「イラン」の文化が届いてくるのもほんの少しです。それでも世界 的にも評価されているイラン映画などから私たちは、「今」のイラン に住む人々や魅力的なクリエイターたちの息づかいを感じることが出来 ます。今回の「黒いチューリップのうた」は、イランの絵本とイラスト レーターを日本で紹介しているユニットSalamx2(サラーム・サラーム) とネイチャーブリスの出会いで生まれました。詩と絵と音楽。今まさに イランで活躍中の若いクリエーターと、イランのピアノの巨匠モルテザ ー・マフジュービーのコラボレーション。「音楽と絵と詩の国イラン」 を多角的な面からとらえることの出来る画期的な1冊となりました。

Morteza Mahujubi is a pianist from Iran and he has started his career from 10 years old and he was already a renown pianist by the time he was 23 years old. He plays the Persian music on the piano.

There's a handheld camera aspect to this collaborative recording — hushed, creaking, intimate — that I found so very striking.
