Native is a four-piece jazz group (Tomoyoshi Nakamura, Taichi Sugimaru, Kenichi Ohkubo, Yuichi Fukaya) hailing from Nagoya, Japan originally formed in 1999, which started on the street.
Through their 10+ years of activities, they have played numerous shows in and outside the country, released 8 albums which few of them were licensed to foreign labels, and have already established themselves in the Japanese “nu-jazz” scene as the pioneer.
